New Haven has many attractions. Aside from Yale, the city has a thriving downtown district with parks, shops, museums, hotels, and restaurants. Its neighborhoods are home to historic buildings and diverse communities. Beyond the city limits lie beautiful beaches, peaceful lakes, charming New England towns, and verdant suburbs. New Haven is easily accessible by car, train, bus, and airplane.
Driving Directions
From Route 15 (Wilbur Cross/Merritt Parkways)• From the north: Take exit 61. Drive south on Whitney Avenue for about five miles. Shortly after passing Sachem Street on your right, the road will split. Stay to the right. You are now on Temple Street. Take a right on Grove Street, and then take your first left onto College Street. Registration for KASCON 25 will be held at Dwight Hall, which can be accessed by foot from Phelps Gate (344 College Street).
• From the south: Take the Merritt Parkway to the I-95 exit. Follow the Interstate 95 directions below.
From Interstate 95
Turn off Interstate 95 at the I-91 North (Hartford-Springfield) exit and continue for a short distance. Take exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Follow the Interstate 91 directions below.
From Interstate 91
Take exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Stay in the middle lane and continue straight on Trumbull Street. Turn right onto Temple Street. Take a right on Grove Street, and then take your first left onto College Street. Registration for KASCON 25 will be held at Linsly-Chittenden Hall, which can be accessed by foot from Phelps Gate (344 College Street).
Parking
On-street metered parking is usually available on the Yale campus. The meters take quarters and have two-hour limits. Please be aware of posted signage when you park. In some locations, on-street parking is illegal during certain times, and cars may be subject to towing during those times.There are also several private parking garages in the area:
• The Yale Visitors lot at the corner of Whitney Avenue and Humphrey Street (266 Whitney Avenue; Lot 16V, $8/day, payable by cell phone)
• Audubon Court Garage (78 Audobon St.)
• Broadway, across from the Yale Bookstore (34 Broadway)

By Train
Union Station is minutes from the Yale campus. Metro-North offers frequent train service between New Haven and New York City. For more information, select the link or call 800.638.7646. Amtrak provides train service to New Haven from Vermont, Providence, and Boston to the north, and from Washington, D.C., to the south, at prices that are competitive with air travel. Call 800.872.7245 or select the link for more information. Once you reach Union Station, we suggest that you use a local taxi service to reach the Yale campus. (There’s a taxi stand at the station.) A taxi will cost about $10. Local shuttle and bus services are also available for travel between Union Station and Yale.By Bus

Tweed-New Haven Airport (airport code HVN), is approximately four miles from the Yale campus. It is a small regional airport serviced by US Airways via Philadelphia. Taxis, buses, and rental cars are available at Tweed. Other nearby airports include Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT (53 miles to campus), LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) in New York City (72 miles to campus), Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City (80 miles to campus), and Newark International Airport (EWR) in Newark, NJ (92 miles to campus). Amtrak provides service from Newark airport to New Haven’s Union Station. For all other airports, private shuttle services are available through Connecticut Limousine (800.472.5466) and GO Airport Shuttle (866.284.3247). Please be sure to make reservations for shuttle services well in advance and ask to be taken to Phelps Gate, NOT the regular New Haven stop.Housing
If I choose the “including housing” option with registration, where do I get to stay?
All participants who pay for housing will be housed on Friday and Saturday nights at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale (155 Temple Street, New Haven, CT). Located in downtown New Haven, just seconds away from the heart of campus (and the hub of all KASCON 25 activities!), the Omni is a four-star hotel with an abundance of modern amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool, and high-speed internet access. All 306 guest rooms in the Omni are well-furnished to ensure a comfortable stay while you are in New Haven. KASCON 25 attendees will be housed in rooms of 4 people (two double beds), and we will do our best to honor any room requests (remember, the earlier you book, the better).
